Marching into July!

It's really pathetic... the amount of empty promises I always make! I swore to add some pictures of my house... never happened. I swore to post more... Yeah.. that didn't happen either..

I'm a bad blogger!

I guess I just blog when I think about it. Sorry if there is anyone out there in the world that watches this blog...

It is now almost July (tomorrow is the first day, actually) and I am right smack in the middle of my first semester at my new school - an actual university! I have been attending a local community college since 2007 and I finally transferred over to Kennesaw State University. Only a few of my credits transferred with me - which is kind of upsetting - but if I stay on the fast track then I should only have a couple of years to go until I get my degree.

Our house is doing great! We've been here for 6 months! Isn't that awesome? I will have pictures up soon, but you can always check out my flickr and see what I have posted there.

Our girls are good.

Our relationship is sound.

And our attempt at getting pregnant is.... non existent. Which, is OK with me. I've become very college oriented lately. I'm ready for a baby if God sees that it is the right time for us, but I'm also not as baby crazy as I have been. I hope that we're pregnant by this time next year.

My struggle with losing some of the "extra baggage" (as I like to call it) has also not been going so smoothly. We stopped dieting and haven't been exercising either. BUT - we will be starting our lifestyle change after the 4th. This will also assist in the above goal.. ;-)

So that's the quick and swift of it...

Coming along...

Slow and steady wins the race (I guess!). So far, we've been getting things done around the house at a moderate pace. Things are slowly getting in order and rooms are being completed. We've painted both bedrooms upstairs, the "MAN" room/cave, the office and the laundry room (ek!). We've also finished the upstairs guest bathroom and just need to finish hanging pictures in there. I am going to be doing some spring cleaning (ie. throwing away things that should have already been chucked BEFORE we moved) next week, so I will share tons of pictures of the house then.

We've also gotten a new friend..........

House!!

Ok...

Originally, DH and I were planning on getting a pre-fab home. Which, is really just a fancy word for a trailer. I'm not saying that a trailer is bad, but we've both lived in a trailer and think that it's just not for us. We also had a horrible time finding land that wasn't surrounded by crappy "pre-fab" homes. So, in early November I found a real estate agent that helped us get approved for a mortgage within 24 hours. We looked during November and found that there are too many homes out there! lol.. In the beginning of December though...

WE FOUND A HOUSE WE LOVE!

Needless to say, we're closing on it by the end of the month (if it doesn't get pushed back again). I've been pretty busy with packing and getting ready for the new house, but hopefully I will have a few spare moments to check in here.
